On September 27th, 2022, Tim Laboranti, Principal of Healthcare Design, received the Individual award at the Healthcare Facilities Symposium in Long Beach, CA. The award is given to an individual in healthcare planning, design, construction, and operations who has displayed leadership and vision over a significant period of their career. During the symposium, Tim had a display board with career highlights, got recognition during the awards luncheon, and recognition in the latest issue of Medical Construction and Design.
Since becoming a partner of the firm at the age of 30, Tim has pioneered hundreds of notable projects and has been a mentor to the BDA team for almost every project that has entered their doors. Due to his dedication to healthcare design, he received certification from the American College of Healthcare Architects (ACHA) in 2018, when only nine other Pennsylvania architects were certified by the ACHA. Tim’s entire career has been devoted to healthcare design. He strives to understand the clinical flow/patient experience and translates that into a successful strategy that benefits the patients, their families, and the clinical staff.
According to the Healthcare Facilities website, the symposium’s goal is to create a multi-disciplinary environment that inspires professionals to evoke change and the advancement of a better delivery of healthcare through the physical space. The expo gives professionals in the field a chance to network, share research, hear new ideas, and learn about the latest trends in healthcare design. The symposium spans a total of 4 days with multiple keynote speakers and over 60 information sessions.
