Dickson City Cancer Center

Expanding Access to Comprehensive Cancer Care in Lackawanna County

Geisinger Cancer Center Dickson City is a 61,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility delivering advanced cancer treatment services to patients in Lackawanna County and the surrounding region. Strategically located to complement Geisinger’s existing Henry Cancer Center in Wilkes-Barre, this new location brings world-class oncology care closer to home—improving access, outcomes, and quality of life for patients across northeastern Pennsylvania. The facility features 22 infusion bays, a hematology and oncology clinic with 17 exam rooms, and dedicated areas for multidisciplinary and palliative care. It also introduces radiation oncology services to Lackawanna County for the first time in Geisinger’s network. On-site pharmacy and lab services streamline care delivery, while patient-focused amenities such as food services and a healing courtyard enhance comfort and convenience. Designed with both patients and staff in mind, the interior spaces blend Geisinger’s established design standards with biophilic healthcare design elements—including natural light, wood finishes, greenery, and custom graphics. The result is a soothing, supportive environment that encourages healing and reduces stress. The Geisinger Cancer Center in Dickson City reflects a strong commitment to expanding comprehensive cancer care in Pennsylvania and redefining the patient experience through thoughtful design and integrated services.
